Long Tsang, Company manager (Principal Geotechnical Engineer)
Mr. Long obtained his bachelor and master certificates in Civil-Geotechnics in 2006 and 2011, respectively, from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Long has over 18 years of geotechnical engineering and environmental field experience in a wide variety of projects. Long is a registered certifier for engineering, geotechnical & road and drainage in NSW under Section 6 of the Building Development Certifiers Act 2018. Long's experience has been gained in geotechnical investigations and providing design solutions for residential subdivisions, residential and commercial developments, slope stability risk assessment and rehabilitation, road pavement construction and design, and infrastructure projects in Sydney, Illawarra, Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven regions. Long is an active member of different geotechnical societies in Australia and worldwide.
Joshua Atkinson (Geotechnical Engineer)
Joshua Atkinson works as a geotechnical engineer at Geofirst, based in Unanderra. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Honours) after commencing his studies at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in 2018 and completing the course in July 2022. In his downtime, he enjoys rock climbing with his friends, both indoors and outdoors. Josh’s career is still new, but he is a keen and enthusiastic Civil Engineer who looks forward to developing his skills and knowledge over the coming years.
Nicholas Buxton (Undergraduate Geotechnical Engineer)
Nicholas Buxton works as a undergraduate geotechnical engineer at Geofirst, based in Unanderra. He study a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Honours) at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in 2018, he enjoys dancing with his friends, both indoors and outdoors. He is a keen and enthusiastic Civil Engineer who looks forward to developing his skills and knowledge over the coming years.
Danial Jahed Armaghani (Geotechnical Engineer)
Dr. Danial is currently working as a casual researcher and lecturer in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil-Geotechnics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. His areas of research are tunnelling, rock mechanics, piling technology, blasting environmental issues, applying artificial intelligence, and optimization algorithms in different areas of civil engineering. He is also working as a Geotechnical Engineer in Geofirst.
Houman Sohaei (Geotechnical Engineer)
Dr Sohaei is based in our Sydney office in Pyrmont, mainly managing computation analysis and modelling of commercial geotechnical software for design. He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil-Geotechnics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. His areas of research are tunnelling, rock mechanics, piling technology, blasting environmental issues, applying artificial intelligence, and optimization algorithms in different areas of civil engineering. He is working as a Geotechnical Engineer in Geofirst.
Vipul De Silva (Principal Geotechnical Engineer)
Vipul has over 50 years of postgraduate experience of which 27 years in Australia as a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer serving in Northern Territory, Queensland Western Australia and over 23 years in New South Wales. Vipul's key geotechnical skills include project management, large-scale earthworks, pavement investigation and design, soft soil management, slope instability risk assessment and remediation, investigation and design of footings for large residential and commercial buildings and application of commercial geotechnical software for design. He is working as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Geofirst.
